A failed, dim, yellow or intermittent DRL is a symptom requiring component-level assessment.
Compare both lights and record whether the fault is constant, temperature-related or intermittent. A dashboard warning or code is useful context, but does not by itself identify the failed LED board, module, connection or light guide. Send photos or video while the symptom is present.
The published 2016 Audi A3 Quattro pair record describes burnt DRL boards and damaged light-tube ends, with thermal damage recorded rather than water ingress. The modules and tubes were replaced and the headlights resealed. Its recorded in-vehicle result and pressure-test pass belong to that case.
The 2017 Audi A3 record has different outcome evidence: operation was customer-reported after installation, not established by a workshop in-vehicle test. A powered photograph, customer report and recorded test are different forms of evidence.
