The exact BMW headlight, replacement lens, housing and retained components are confirmed first.
Provide the registration or VIN, model and year, side and any available headlight label. Different lighting variants can require different lenses and repair parts. Photos should show the complete shape, damage and both lights switched on when the enquiry includes an electrical fault.
Internal work requires the complete headlight to be removed. VLTA can quote eligible workshop removal/refitting, or a mail-in customer can arrange local removal. Once accessible, the housing, mounting areas, covers and signs of earlier work can be inspected.
Damage concealed behind the bumper or inside the light may change the repair decision. VLTA photographs new findings and confirms revised scope and price before added repairs. A cracked lens is not by itself proof that every housing or internal component needs replacing.
The agreed work uses a matching VLTA-supplied lens. The assembly is opened, the bonding surfaces prepared and the new lens fitted with professional resealing. Pressure testing forms part of the opened/rebuilt headlight process; functional checks are recorded according to what is possible for that assembly and vehicle.
The BMW M4 G82 and Audi SQ5 records show documented lens-replacement pathways. The BMW 5-Series water-ingress record is a different example: moisture and affected electronics require attention beyond simply making the front lens look clear.
A photograph of illuminated lights does not establish all lighting modes, measured beam aim or a long-term seal result. The repair record should distinguish the work completed, pressure testing and any actual electrical or in-car checks. Vehicle coding, aiming or calibration required after refitting are separate tasks.
Lens replacement is $585 single or $1,080 pair including GST. Workshop removal/refitting and collection/return freight are separate. Parts lead time and workshop time depend on the identified variant and agreed repair; a case-specific completion time is not a universal turnaround promise.
